The Challenge
In 2001, Hamilton Osborne King (now Savills) asked X Communications to develop a web site for their commercial property division. This web site presented a confident, professional image for Ireland’s market leader in commercial property. The goals for the first web site design were:
- Present a professional look and feel
- Web site should be information driven – by both the company and the market
- Content must be up to date and easy to find
- User focused – addresses all target audiences
- Includes a virtual showroom – benefiting the company and users
- Become a market leader in detailed, up to the minute property information
The Solution
www.hok.ie was launched in 2001 – this site presented a confident web presence for Hamilton Osborne King. The web site was then re-developed in 2005 to include a customised content management platform allowing staff to update the site with properties and property brochures.
In 2005, X Communications developed a residential property web site for HOK Residential including a complete content management platform allowing staff to upload properties to both their own web site and to the various property portals.
In 2006, Savills acquired Hamilton Osborne King and X Communications implemented Savills branding for the different property web sites and presented the different property portfolios under a single portal at www.savills.ie.
The Result
We continue to build Savills web presence in Ireland and are working in partnership to integrate the different back-end technology platforms and to introduce Savills branding to the Irish market.
