RTÉ asked us to design a website for a new show that looks at the election from a different standpoint. We used social media plugins to allow viewers to join in on the debate while the show aired.

One of the core ideas behind the show was to allow viewers to interact with the team in the studio as the show went live to air. The intention was to hear the thoughts and opinions of viewers in real time and hence allow them to influence the content of the show.

In order to achieve this we integrated a number of social media plugins such as Twitter and Facebook and viewers are encouraged to use these platforms to communicate their opinions to the team.

The team in the studio are then able to reach back out to viewers through the use of a live blogging platform called CoveritLive.

You can visit the website at

We integrated CoveritLive to allow RTÉ to blog in real time while on air.
