The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the company and for negotiating new contracts and maintaining a profile in the web development sector. The tasks/responsibilities for this position include:
- Analyse market trends and identify key business opportunities
- Keep abreast of all activities in the web sector in Ireland and abroad
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all web technologies
- Expand the company's product reach and profit revenues
- Follow up on all existing and new business enquiries
- Write proposals for new projects after consulting and analysing client requirements
- Work closely with the Managing Director to identify a clear business path and to agree new business targets each quarter
- Follow up on all outstanding proposals and engage in one-to-one client communication on a regular basis
- Identify new business opportunities in related services
- Network with other small business people especially industries that require web services
- Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry
The person we are looking for will have:
- An in-depth knowledge of web design and development technologies
- Excellent communication skills - both writing and speaking
- Be highly organised and self motivated
- Embrace targets and aim for over delivery
- Be highly personable and enjoy networking within the industry
- A primary degree
